What a beautiful image! I often see your face on the likes of many other bloggers who I follow so I decided to check your blog out. What a delightful site. I totally get it about the Victor Meldew character. I so loved that show. I am an Aussie married to a Lancashire lad and we live in a beautiful part of the world too. The bench is such a powerful image. During lockdown hubby built a couple of benches for us to enjoy at home. But when one thinks about the humble bench it can be taken for granted. I am now reminded of the countless hours I have sat on a bench, enjoyed a sandwich, watched children and dogs play, or just be!
